The 9/11 Questions Giuliani Doesn't want to Answer:
Wed Jun 06, 2007 at 04:05:15 PM PDT
As of right now, the #1 Recommended story here on Daily Kos is about the infowars reporter who was arrested at the debate last night.
The video to go along with the diary is pretty difficult to follow, and the audio isn't that great, but I wanted to clarify the type of questions the reporter was trying to ask of the Giuliani.
Giuliani is routinely thought of as some sort of 9/11 hero. (although he is obviously not seen this way by many New Yorkers, and I'd assume most people on this site) But upon further investigation, it becoms apparent that many of his actions on 9/11 were...how shall I say...less then heroic.
I just emailed NBC...Olbermann
Wed Apr 18, 2007 at 03:10:43 PM PDT
I emailed Olbermann, cause I email him often, and I felt maybe they recognize my email address. If you feel the same way, please email them too. Perhaps you can explain yourself better than I did.
Orrin Hatch Page Scandal. CORRECTION
Thu Apr 05, 2007 at 02:12:04 PM PDT
Dear Kossacks:
I would appreciate your help in correcting a mistake I made in a diary I wrote yesterday.
My comments about Orrin Hatch's record as a U.S. Senator were accurate, but I misspoke when making the point of discussing the page scandal. I accidentally used his name, instead of his former Republican colleague in the House, Mark Foley.
I have attached the part of the diary in question for you to review. Please accept my sincere apology. The following passage was accurate, except for the name of the person involved.
Olbermann Special Comment Tonight
Mon Mar 26, 2007 at 04:08:54 PM PDT
Olbermann takes on Delay, and cites this quote as being this rant's genesis...
"I believe it was Adolf Hitler who first acknowledged that the big lie is more effective than the little lie, because the big lie is so audacious, such an astonishing immorality, that people have a hard time believing anyone would say it if it wasn’t true. You know, the big lie — like the Holocaust never happened or dark-skinned people are less intelligent than light-skinned people. Well, by charging this big lie" — that DeLay violated campaign-finance laws in Texas — "liberals have finally joined the ranks of scoundrels like Hitler."
Emphasis not mine! Who ever gets to say that?
Where did the Cheney/Darth Vader comparison come from???
Mon Feb 26, 2007 at 04:06:12 PM PDT
Over at TPM they are running a "Cheney Lyin' Fool Sweepstakes". They're trying to find Cheney quotes which are just wrong, dishonest, or idiotic. They're obviously trying to go beyond the "pretty well confirmed"'s and "last throws"'s, that everyone knows already. While looking for a specific quote, I stumbled upon the following. (Although I'm sure this isn't new to most of you die hards)
Did Drudge`botch' the NYT story???
Thu Nov 02, 2006 at 09:37:16 PM PDT
Drudge hoped the Headline would be "Iraq was close to having Nukes".
But the real headline:
With Iran and North Korea working on their nuclear technology, we're giving online nuclear tutorials to the Axis of Evil. And in an age of Islamic terrorists, we're giving our online nuclear tutorials in arabic. And the "we" were Republicans.
UPDATE: Kirk Fordham gets Fired. Blames Democrats?

ABC reports that Fordham, chief of staff for Congressman Tom Reynolds, was fired today.
Conspiracy of Silence
Sun Oct 01, 2006 at 01:48:50 PM PDT
A few weeks ago, someone emailed me the link to this video. The video documents the pedophilia claims revolving around Boys Town and Nebraska politicians. This was a documentary to be aired on The Discovery Channel in 1994. Despite being listed in TV Guide, it never aired. The `conspiracy theory' says that unnamed powerful people had the documentary pulled off the air. I am unaware of any contradictory theory.
Have you actually read the IM's? Unbelievable.
Fri Sep 29, 2006 at 10:47:47 PM PDT
Have you guys actually read the 9 pages of IM's that ABC posted? I had no idea the IM's were this direct...this openly sexual. They are doing the IM version of phone sex.
Throughout the entire day, I had no idea how blunt these IM's were. I have very little to add, seeing how these speak for themselves, so below the fold, I have pulled a few messages that are just unreal, and I included the link to the ABC post.
It's a quick read, and it's worth your time if you can stomache it.
Update With Video The Bush 9/11 Info You Can't Afford to Miss
Tue Sep 26, 2006 at 04:05:50 AM PDT
First, we get a fiery and determined President Clinton sparking the flames of a new and more honest discussion about 9/11, and Bush's actions. Clinton outright accused the Bush Administration of not trying to stop al-Qaeda . What followed was a media storm which, despite concentrating on Clinton's demeanor, was forced to look into this `they did not try' claim. And they were subsequently forced to cover that aspect of 9/11...a road the main stream media previously avoided.
So after a weekend whirlwind about who tried and who did not try, most of us were expecting Keith Olbermann to dig into this story with one of his `special comments'. Indeed, after he promised `brimstone and fire' on his ESPN radio show, and his website previewed a new `special comment', the left wing internet blogs exploded in anticipation. But in the minutes leading up to his broadcast, with `Countdown' commercials promising to `take the gloves off' about 9/11, many of us may have missed the most important event of this new look into 9/11.
Watch Hardball Tonight: Be Prepared to Email Chris
Mon Sep 25, 2006 at 09:55:08 AM PDT
Perhaps you've seen or heard Chris Matthews on Imus last week. Alot has been made of whether or not Chris Matthews 'called it' on the Iraq war before it started. I don't care who called it 4 years ago. I care about who is covering it today. Apparently Chris Matthews cares about that too...
"...the news media, which I have to say, sucks lately in covering the Iraq war".
"How can we be at war and not watch it?"
Does Chris Matthews realize that he's part of the newsmedia? Does Chris Matthews realize that he has his own show on MSNBC, which airs twice each weekday?
Your Heart Vs. Your Head (With Poll)
Fri Sep 22, 2006 at 10:10:59 PM PDT
This is a simple poll. There are only two options. It should be easy. But as I write this, I literally don't know which I will pick. Do I follow my heart? Or do I follow my head? I'm posting this for the kos community to open the discussion many of us are having in recent threads, and the discussion some of us are having between our hearts and our heads.
US Ignores Democracy Lesson from Pakistan
Thu Sep 21, 2006 at 08:41:10 PM PDT
When did this administration become so Un-American? Was it just today, when the frameworks for legalized torture, and the legal suspension of habeas corpus were laid? Was it when this administration first began to illegally torture, and illegally suspend habeas corpus? Was it when this administration illegally wiretapped unknown numbers of American citizens without warrants? Was it when the largely unread Patriot Act was passed? No. It turns out, this administration's disdain for Democracy and American values began on 9/13/01, at the latest. Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, on the other hand, had to defend his own country's adopted version of American values...from America.
